Striped?
Can you get a Genetic stripe by breeding a normal ball python with a stripe to a normal ball python with a stripe? like this one- http://www.reptilebasics.com/ball_python_available.html

Re: Striped?
no, a genetic stripe like this one http://www.8ballpythons.com/stripe.htm
is a recessive trait, both parents need to have the gene for stripe. the ones you linked to are not genetic stripes and are considered normals. nothing has been proven to my knowledge of that kind of stripe yet. they are still cool looking and i like them even if not genetic.

Ah, I think I read that post wrong, I figured that it was a response to the link, and that he liked those too (genetic stripes). I get it now.

Re: Striped?
I think they throw around the two terms too easily. The genetic stripe looks so much different than a normal stripe. Maybe people should start referring to the genetic one as a "Patternless stripe", although that would be an oxymoron.
Another problem with the current name is if someone does discover that their normal looking stripe is genetic, couldn't they refer to it as a genetic stripe as well?
