new pets
So after Fernando died (the baby rat Lola decided not to eat), I was stuck with all this rat stuff.
So I decided to buy some rats to fill my empty heart (ok not really). I bought two female rats:one regualr pet rat and then a dumbo rat.
( I chose female rats cause the male rats have these huge balls and every time I look at them I cant help but stare and its icky and I feel all weird)
Here is what they kind of look like.
(my home pc had a heart attack so I use my work pc I havent been able to upload any pics! bummer I know)

I am not sure what to name them.
I was thinking maybe
-Ms. Morimoto (after my fave show Iron Chef) & Ms.Nezbit (from ToyStory)
-Rosey
-Bonita
-Maria & Lupe
-Sandy & Ebony
Throw some names my way....
If I dont come up with something good by the time I get home from work my boyfriend will continue to call them Dog & Flipper!!!!

Re: new pets
That's too bad......I actually like the males better...big balls and all...they are lazier, much more relaxed, and calmer....the females are much more hyper and less relaxed.

Re: new pets
Cute rats! I think the names "Dog" and "Flipper" are actually cool. I like totally unexpected names for animals. If I had a pair of rats, I might call them "Cat" and "Mouse." LOL

Re: new pets
My aunt had 2 rats. Hamlett (sp) and Othello. They were two of the biggest rats I've ever seen. They both weighed around 4.5 pounds. Othello I think was almost 5 pounds. They were the sweetest rats in the world. Rats get a bad wrap though As for names, how about Lucy and Ethel?

Re: new pets
THanks you guys!
I started calling the black one Lucy and the beige on Ma.
There personalities really show now.
Lucy is fisty and likes to tackle Ma and crawl all over her.
Ma is lazy but more social, she is the first one to come closer to the cage walls and smell me.
Now if I do get this burmese (if it is a burmese) I'm going to name it Mr.or Mrs. Morimoto. But i have to say it like they do on Iron Chef with that whole Asian accent all quick like so it has an affect.
