    A newbie!

    Hey guys and gals, I'm new to the forums and have a bp for the first time and lovin it so far! I've had Slider now for about 3 wks. and going for a check up in a couple of days.Not sure of sex yet but eats like a champ and is just about to shed for the first time since I've owned him/her.Will let ya know how it goes.

    Congrats on the new snake and for getting him/her to the vet. Make sure you have a fecal performed. A clean health check is such a wonderful thing!! Let us know how the visit goes.

    I'm going to move this to the offtopic, since it's more of a intro.

    Welcome to BPNet, Matt and congratulations on acquiring Slider the BP. Sounds like things are going along well and it's great you have a vet visit coming up. If Slider defecates before that visit you can bag it in a couple of ziploc baggies, pop it in the fridge and take it along to have a fecal float done. Does your vet sex snakes? It's always cool to know exactly what you have.

    Please feel free to ask any questions, post pictures, brag on your snake, just plain enjoy being around folks that won't think you are wierd because you are worried when your snake hasn't pooped lately or want to brag about the very nice shed it did (most everyone else will think you are nuts but we think that's just normal LOL).

    to our slithery family...we all speak parseltongue here, so don't be shy!!! And we are always needin' a pics fix, so please...give to tha needy!!! Oh, and one more thing, when you pop that baggie of poo in the fridge for the fecal,make sure you mark it.....wouldn't want a roommate or someone like that to find it first...LOL!!!!
