    Eggs

I was cleaning one of my female cages and dug a bit in the lay box and found some eggs. I have no clue how long they've been there. The area though they were in was very moist. I threw together a incubation container. I did the 2:1 mix with perlite but Im not so sure if its humid enough in there. Should I go get some vermiculite tommorow and transfer them to that. I put them in a deli cup that you would put a gecko in for a show. Should I cover up all the holes in the side.

    Re: Eggs

as long as you used the 2:1 mix you should be fine. i use that ratio with perlite in a shoebox rubbermaid with one very tiny hole in each side (4 holes). it feels a lot more dry than you would expect but a little on the dry side is better than a little on the wet side or the eggs will mold. you probably should cover some or most of the holes in the deli cup if it is the kind of cup that has holes all the way around it. you want a little ventilation but just opening the container once a week or so and letting some air in is enough if you have your mix right.
