    First shed today!

I took out the hides to clean under them today, and there was Flannery's first shed, all in one piece!
It was gray in spots though, instead of white. Is that normal?

Yes it's normal. You should even be able to make out their pattern in the shed too. Oh and congrats on the first shed.

I didn't know the pattern was in the top layer of skin like that! That is really interesting.
I wonder, do little bp's keep the same pattern their whole lives? Or does it change as they get larger?

Very cool. My python, Duane, is in the middle of his first shed (at least under my watch). Unfortunately, I haven't kept the humidity quite high enough so I've had to soak him to help him get the rest of it off.
