    Those Dasypeltis are stretchy !!! It is amazing how much a lifestyle or preferred prey can mold an animal morphologically. From losing teeth to evolving the vertebral spine to break the egg. In Carl Kauffeld's book, Snakes: The Keeper and the Kept,he wrote of a Pituophis he had as a youngster that would eat chicken eggs in similar fashion, although it would swallow the shell too. Thanks for posting that link.

    Wow, that is amazing!

    The skin is so stretched out that it is almost transparent! You can see the black spots on the egg.
