You bumped a topic from early 2006? That's just wrong.

If you ever find that a snake has become "exclusive" to a certain type of feed, then you could always just continue to offer it normal food on it's typical feeding schedule until it becomes hungry enough to eat.

Now I suggest that as a way of getting rid of a pre-existing problem, but DO NOT USE THIS AS A GO AHEAD TO FEED YOUR ANIMAL THINGS YOU CAN NOT CONTINUE TO FEED IT. Just because there is a way of getting it back onto normal food does not mean that you should EVER feed it something it wouldn't typically eat. don't randomly feed it a chick, don't randomly feed it a gerbil, none of that. If you want to move to a new food source that's fine, but I do not condone feeding an animal "treat" animals.

    Re: hamster

I figured locking this thread was the best way to go. There's no reason to bump such an ancient thread...especially without adding something with some sort of relevant and educational benefit. If someone really feels a need to discuss the merits of using hamsters as feeders and don't find the information they need here, they can start a new thread.
