Thx everybody!!!

Fred's weight is good. S/he's pretty bulked up so even tho the guy was feeding two mice at a pop, the snake's in pretty good condition. (He's big enough for a small-med rat. Next feeding I'll be trying the FT rats. If not FT, I have some rat babies that would be the right size.) The main reason I was holding off on the vet visit was for the one week no-touchy thing. Sorry...I didn't word my earlier message well enough. Quarantine will probably be the month to six weeks, but after the ONE WEEK of no handling, Fred will be at Dr. Fletcher's office. Which works out, because that's the earliest I can book w/Dr. F. He's the only reptile/exotics vet around here.

What little I know and have learned (thanks to this WUNNERFUL! site) I figured it's many spectacles over the eye. I'm not fond of the tape idea but I've got the temps on, & I'm boosting up the humidity. (Dork didn't have any thermometers or hygrometer in the tank but said he didn't have any problems. HUH?! < How'd he know? *grumble grumble grumble* > but I know what the temps and humidity are NOW.

Even added another hide for the COOL side and as I change the bedding, I'll be going from the desert gravel stuff to the aspen, so that should help. Only thing is, it's MUCH easier to see the poo and urates on this stuff, as compared to the others' homes. PPTHTHTHTHTHT

It's still exciting. I just wasn't expecting it to happen so soon. But hey! I'm NOT complaining. Free IS a cool four letter word.
