IMHO opinion - the ideal set up is the one most convenient for you, the keeper that achieves that husbandry requirements of the ball python is ideal!

For my snakes - tubs are ideal. For others, nicely set up glass vivs are ideal! Decide what you'd like to do, ask the forum and those of us that use one or the other can give you good tips!
