Katie found some abandoned kittens...

When Katie was walking Pepper on a trail in the woods a few hours ago, she found two baby kittens. She is at the store now picking up some kitten formula and I have them set up on a heat pad at around 103 deg. as suggested by several places online. We plan on taking them to the vet in the morning, but until then they are ours.

Good luck with the babies - I hand raised two when I was in high school and working for a vet - feedings every four hours is a LOT of fun!

Awwwwwww...poor little babies!! ...I guess Shadow doesn't share my pity though, huh? LOL

....yep....brought the kittens home....put them in a tub with a UTH....LMAO...I went to walk Pepper again while Katie was gone and put a screen top on so Shadow could not get to them. Katie is feeding them kitten milk now, so they should do just fine.

hey since you are going to be handfeeding... we have some cockatiel eggs which will be hatching soon... we'll send them over so you can handfeed them as well. (i don't do night feedings anymore... i breastfed my babies at night - the hubby feeds the birds!)

Awwh, good for you taking them in! Poor babies. A friend of mine is fostering a little kitten flood survivor, eyes aren't even open yet, I hope your two do as well as that little kitty is doing! Purring and everything

Awww so sweet! Best of luck with them and I will think horrid thoughts about the idiot who abadoned them or left an intact female cat in the wild to produce them.
