bumblebee and Killer bee prices
How much do you think bumblebee's and killer bee's are worth?
And how much do you think this will change in the next couple of years?

Re: bumblebee and Killer bee prices
Lots and lots. I doubt they will drop enough in the next few years to make them affordable for the average snake owner. Greg Graziani has a male BB available for $22,500. Oh yeah, I want some!

Re: bumblebee and Killer bee prices
Personally I think the price might drop a little teeny bit. But not very much, mainly because although the prices on the makings of bumblebees have dropped some, there wil be a large demand for them. Why?
BUMBLEBEES ARE HOT!!! HOT HOT HOT!
I can't afford a bumblebee, but I do have the makings for next year. I want one for ME. They are an awesome looking morph.
That said, I like the bumblebees better than the killer bees, but I think the price on the killer bees will stay higher longer as they require a few extra steps to make. Since you need super pastels to make them, and ideally you might have two supers, one killer and one super.. although.. eerp. Shutting up now before I plan another entire breeding project.

Re: bumblebee and Killer bee prices
Bumblebees sell for ~10k right now on kingsnake, and I think like 15-20k on websites.
Killerbee female I think I saw for 35k at NERD. Those are still pretty rare.
People are freaking over the Bumblebee and everyone wants to make one (me too!), so I'm guessing we will have a LARGE number introduced into the market in the next few years.... The beauty of a bumblebee is that if you breed it to a normal female, you have a 1/4 chance of producing a bumblebee.... breed it to a pastel and you have a 1/8 chance of a killerbee.
In 2 years? I would hope bumblebees aren't below 5k for females 8k for males, and killerbees 15k for females, 25k for males
But who knows? not I!

You dont need super pastels to make killer bees, a killer bee is pp sS, so a killer be IS a super pastel and a spider.... Since parents can only pass on one gene, you can make a killer bee with a normal pastel x bumblebee. Of course a super pastel x bumblebee gives you a 1/4 shot instead of a 1/8 shot.
If you don't think killerbees are hot, check out a killerbee yellow belly Those things are nuts.

Any Bee - HOT, HOT, HOT.... They should hold for some time to come I suspect. It's not like you can produce them at will like many of the base morphs out there. You're still at the mercy of the % game. They are some wicked looking buggers though.

Re: bumblebee and Killer bee prices
I’ve just been reading about the different types of pastels, does the type of pastel used to make a bumble bee or killer bee make any difference to the price?

Not the type, but the quality. Even then, it's not the quality of the pastel, but the quality of the Bee. You might start out with a high quality, bright pastel and get a bland Bee, but chances are you can produce a nice Bee easier with a nice Pastel instead of a bland one.
I think people get hung up too much with names and lines. There are nice pastels and ugly ones from every line, and on top of that there are pastels that are very bright when they are young yet fade or brown out when they get older, yet others that will stay bright.
