ha....I am recording them on my computer so I don't have to stay up all night....I can probably hook anyone up with a copy later if I can get them loaded to my server. The Big Squeeze is a pretty good show. It has some great footage of large constrictors eating and other stuff.

Im watching the Big Squeeze right now. I just saw the one about the 7 snakes. It's sorta funny seeing this guy, who IMO is being a total show off, get big by a cobra I believe it was. I've said this before ... If you own a snake of ANY size, you must respect it. You must realize that no matter what, there is a small chance of being bit. But still, people like us dont care about that. We love these animals for their appeal and beauty. I know I may, or may not be bit. But that doesnt stop me. Just like it doesnt stop me from driving my car. I could get into a nasty car accident. But that wont stop me. No matter if I get bit, or not. I'll ALWAYS love my snakes!

Re: The Big Squeeze and others...

The Big Squeeze actually pissed me off. Coming from a station that's supposed to be about the animals, the show was more detrimental to our hobbies than a lot of people think. It may have only shown the five snakes that are capable, however, it didn't explain what would cause this.

Owning large snakes is a LOT of work. They made it seem like the big constrictors were out to get us. Example: That family that lived on the edge of the forest/jungle and the big python (can't remember; too early) tried to constrict around the kid. HELLO! There was no mention of how these people took their own lives into their hands. Or the incident with the rock python and the guy walking home from work. No one mentioned that that man was in the rock's natural habitat.

They also don't mention the fact that hundreds of pythons, whether burmese or larger, are set free in an unnatural habitat. Oh no. Of course not. Because that would actually FORCE people to take some blame. Meh.
I think the entire show was over-dramatized and it was quite...irritating. Justin's father got to hear me ranting for about twenty minutes about it too.
I'm done ranting now. I think.

Re: The Big Squeeze and others...

I've seen that show like 3-4 times and I never felt like they where trying to say the snakes were out to get us. I think they where trying to get folks to understand that big snakes can be dangerous if not handle properly by folks who have done their homework and have some sense.
I mean clearly the idiot who cleaned his chinchilla cages then went to check on his snake is a few bricks shy of a full load, I mean really why not just tie a rat or rabbit around you neck !?!
I think in showing the guy and family they where saying that if your in areas w/ large snakes show some caution.

To many folks buy these big snakes thinking " Oh how cool ,Oh how cute and don't have a clue as to what to do next. At the very end it even gave tips if you were caught by a big snake and ways to get it to release.

I think they should make some a little fighten about these snakes then maybe some of the Yahoo's won't go buy them and have these stupid accidents happen which then makes it bad for the folks who have done homework and who are responsible.

The Rock eating the Antelope was eff-ing awesome.
