He could be just exploring and checking out the new digs. I imagine a move into any new home would make most bp's act differently for a couple days until they're convinced nothing has really changed and go back into their normal "sleep all day in my favorite hide" routine.


I would, however, make sure the cage was cleaned very thoroughly with bleach or vinegar (rinse rinse rinse!) to get rid of as much rodent smell as possible.
