Help!! We need some eggs to hatch out for school project
Hi,
We are looking for a couple eggs to hatch out for my daughter's school project. She has built an incubator that holds temp and humidity VERY well, and we have been trying to locate someone in the Denver area that would be able to give/sell us a couple eggs for her to hatch out. She has 3 Ball Pythons now (all from Pro Exotics, thanks!!!), but they are not of breeding age. She also has 2 box turtles. The eggs can be of any kind of reptile, so if anyone has any contacts in the Denver area or ideas, please let us know.
Thanks,
Neil Johnson

I'd recommend locating crested or leopard gecko eggs, I'd think that those would be more hardy than ball eggs....just a thought...

With the school year ending right around the corner, you may want to consider hatching out chicks, you may not get a reptile to hatch out before school ends. What amazes me, is that they would have her start such a project like this so far into the school year. Good Luck!

I moved this thread to the sales/wanted forum. I will also delete the extra threads in the other forums. This will be plenty visible to anyone here who may be able to help you.
Good luck with the project!

Re: Help!! We need some eggs to hatch out for school project
Hi,
Thanks for the Gecko idea, I will try a couple of those forums.
Her project is a "passion pursuit" project, and since she wants to get into breeding her Ball Python's we figured an incubator would be a good idea. We originally intended on hatching chicks (in fact we have Pheasant eggs on the way), but her teacher came back and told her that if she did not have reptile eggs, she has to change all of her research and project materials to be bird related. This teacher is very difficult to say the least ..... We tried explaining that the incubator she created will work for both, and that we are having trouble getting reptile eggs, but her teacher won't listen to it.
Thanks.... Neil

I bet if you did a search on the net, you would find your local herp society, I bet they can better help you in your search.
