Hola herps amigos/amigas,
I have a pretty strong feeling my 40 gallon tank isnt going to be heating the right way.Along with some humidity problems.
So heres the deal.
Gots me a big ole 40 gallon tank, tall and narrow.
-On the "hot end" I have a UTH and the main heat source a 240 watt bulb.
plus a dinky stick on thermometer.
-In the middle "the nauture zone" as I call it I have the leafy hid and bark log thing along with a container i punched holes in and left a wet sponge in to create some humidity.I also have a 25 watt red bulb above the cage in that area. Here I keep the thermometer and humidity gage parked.
-On the "chillin end" I have his log hide, some bark positioned so he can climb and a black light partially over more closer to the red light placed in the middle.
The hot side stays around 87-90
the nature zone around 80
and the chillen end 75-ish
now my humidity is at only 30%, totally not what it sould be, where should I place his water bowl....
Would i be rotten to place it mostly in the hot side? I can spray the cage down while im home during the day but in the evening I am at work and I dont trust my boyfriend to do so. What options do I have to have to get an even balance of temp and humidity...I would post pictures but my home pc had a brain spazam and i am being a rotten employee and using my work pc.
help me out if you guys can, I know it takes a few days to get a new tank set up right.
