    New Job - Internal

Wow, these past few weeks have been a whirlwind for me. There was an internal job posting that I was interested in, and decided to apply for it. I figured - at least I'll have no regrets that I didn't try.

I received the offer on Friday and asked for the weekend to consider the offer. After much deliberation - I finally just wrote my acceptance and resignation letters.

Who knew it would be this hard? Especially with both sides "wooing" you. I really, really struggled with this decision - there are definitely benefits to staying where I am now, as well as benefits to making this career change, which made the decision that much more difficult. I have to see both sides every day, no matter who I turned down. Two different business units sharing the same space.

Now maybe I can get some sleep tonight now that the decision has been made.

Congrats Robin on the new position! I know how much you agonized over the choice since both had their pro's and con's. Absolute best wishes! When do you actually transfer duties over?

I imagine the negotiations will begin tomorrow as to when I'll be allowed to start over there. Since it's internal, the company will take the time necessary to try to have the least disruption. Could be two weeks, could be a month. I should know more later.
