I went to a Texas Reptiles expo in Richardson yesterday and while it was small, it was a nice show. I started talking to Pat Chandler who breeds Balls and he had a CBB Blackback female that I was just enthralled with...

Low and behold, I bought her... *sigh*

Do I need more snakes? I need more room is what I need!

Well anywho, the little(fat) girl is very pretty, very orange and has a very whacked out pattern. Nice blushing on her back, too.

I got a free t-shirt with her too I'll post pictures after she settles in. I will move her to my house soon, but until then, she is being quarantined at a friend's house.

I also talked to my Rosy Boa, Dillinger's, breeder, who offered to trade me whatever they had that I liked for him. He's an '05, eats every week, is very healthy, but likes to eat my lunch. I have tried working with him, but regardless of how careful I am to wash up and not smell of mice/rats, he bites... So hopefully he can just go be a breeder, eat and get fat, LoL.

Sorry to hear about your Rosy Boa but I know you've tried to hard and he just isn't ever going to settle down it seems. I know his original breeder really liked his looks so he'll be a welcome addition back in their breeding program I'm sure.

Ok! I got some pictures of her the other night. She is still very calm, doesn't even jerk her head back, and kept trying to slither out of the tub and say "Hi". I just kept directing her back in, LoL, silly thing.

I have her tub wired up with 2 separate pieces of flexwatt. One piece is directly connected to a Johnson T-Stat set at 95, and the other piece is connected to a dimmer that is connected to the same t-stat. Works PERFECT at 95 and 84. Humidity is great at ~65% and she's happy as a lark.
