    Late Night Again

Anyone else work 3rd shift part of the week? I work 3 or 4 12 hour days from 7pm to 7am Sun Mon Tues and Every other Wed.

Time to switch back over to my sleep schedule so I need to stay up until 3 or 4 am to finish my rat racks, and then sleep in as late as I can (11 or noon) and then go to work at 7pm

Just posting because Im putting off working on the rat racks until 11pm CST. I've made all the cuts for 2 rack, 4 tubs each rack (tubs 37.5 x 23). I get to pick up another 5.29 Ratties tommorrow!

    Re: Late Night Again

Darn it all... I ran out of 2.5" screws at 1am ..... otherwise I would be done in another hour easily... sigh

So much for sleeping in until 11, I will have to get up early to finish this

    Re: Late Night Again

    I'm a vampire too.

Our schedule USED to be F-Sun and every other Monday, but the dinks (pwrs that be) decided it would be cheaper for us to have a Wednesday pivot. Yeaaaaah riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. That's why now they have to pay another 5% shift differential to the other night shift. BWAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

So now, I work every other Wed, Th-Sat. from 1800-0630, sometimes until 0700 or later, depending on the fires towards the end of the shift. So instead of having just my weekend screwed up, now both my week AND my weekend are :cens0r: !!!! So much for a family life.

It was a short one, so come 0615 or so, I'm outta here! Yiiipppppppee!!!!! The ex has the kid, so I don't have to try and change sleep schedules until after the 1st, then I'll flip-flop again.

It's a PITA being one of "the living dead".

    Re: Late Night Again

Heh, what do you do for a night shift? Whenever I tell someone I work a night job I get asked, are you a security guard heh heh.

I used to work at target at nights, that sucked pretty bad Ive also worked a propane re-filling job (those small grill tanks) Blue Rhino! Man, that was a hard job, and i think i lost brain cells sniffing the paint on 8,000 tanks, oy.

Now I work at a Datacenter as a Network monitor, plus i handle some phone calls since they dont keep any phone support people for our 10 accounts on over nights, woo wee

i'm trying to think what my options are now that Im out of screws.... I guess I just go to bed and mess up my sleep schedule for tommorrow and die around 3-4am

    Re: Late Night Again

I'm a process tech in manufacturing....a high tech cleanroom. We're another one of those crazy jobs that are 24/7/365...unless Big Brother company decides once again to have the mandatory shutdowns at Christmas.....Errrrrr...the "winter holiday".

We do have closures @ Thanksgiving and Memorial Day for building maint. work in the fabs, but they're only two-dayers.

No man, don't do that! It's the b-witch to stay awake at 3 am when you haven't had enough sleep! Lately my "wall" has been < ONE > am, not 3 or 4 like usual. It really stinks. But good luck, whatever U decide.

    Re: Late Night Again

OMG! I know what U mean, but since they've eliminated the cafeteria here on our night shifts, and the vending machines just don't cut it, luckily we have a JITB, Wendy's, Arby's, an all night grocery store and a Subway sandwich shop that are open for a little while later.

    Hmmmmm

Maybe a rat rack would be best....but right now, our only rats are pets...I just happen to be breeding the two females on the side for the snakes.

Sorry to hear you're stuck w/o the necessary parts! Good luck in getting it in time for your rats, and getting enough sleep for work tomorrow night!
