Please don't breed the hairless rats. You will end up with more trouble then it is worth. They usually don't lactate and if they do, it's not enough to sustain growing babies. The babies are usually eaten or they die from malnutrition. Hairless rats do not make good mothers at all(from experience) and it would just be best to not even consider breeding them. If you were wanting to use them as feeders, I would think you'd end up with very runny snake feces since there isn't any hair(roughage) to bind the feces together. Ick!

Not to mention that hairless rats grow at a slower rate because their metabolisms are faster than normal, haired rats. They have to eat more to keep their bodies at a higher constant temperature(I would know, I have a few HORSES here that eat me out of house and home).

They make nice hot water bottles though if you have a sore neck(and the rat is calm enough to lay on your neck, LoL).
