Re: Can a person get more nervous/excited???

She's also my first-ever BP. I've wanted one for years! So this is extra special for me!

Interesting first choice! Planning on breeding? I would have to think so otherwise a normal would do the job

Re: Can a person get more nervous/excited???

Yes, breeding is my dream. Problem is, hubby is in the military and we move around a lot. So aside from his general distaste of snakes, it would be highly impractical to have a large, expensive collection at this time. Not only would moving them be highly stressful for all parties involved, but I would never know from year to year what sort of house I may be moving into. Who knows how big it would be or what kinds of local restrictions there might be.

But he'll be retiring sometime...most likely within the next ten years, since we've been in for 16 years already. LOL And then we'll find a permanent home and build me a snake house.

I figured a nice het would be a great way to get started now...she'll have plenty of time to grow up. And finding her a mate in a year or two might not put too much of a strain on our moving status (or our marriage! LOL).

    I'm babbling, I know.......I'll shut up now.

Makes perfect sense to me. Thats awesome! Now you need to get your husband better acquainted with the snakes and get the addiction going!

Is she here yet? Is she here yet? Is she here yet??? If there were anyone else in the house with me besides my 3-year old, I'd be driving them insane!! (Being 3, he's already quite familiar with this sort of insanity and is having a delightful morning! LOL)

EDIT: They really should equip those trucks with a GPS tracker so us crazies could follow the truck through the city!!!

That is so funny that your husband isn't such a snake fan! My son and I bought our ball python about 3 months ago and my husband still hasn't even touched her!!! I even had to move our bp into the spare bedroom because he couldn't stand the "fear" of seeing her every day in the living room ! I keep telling him that she can't do anything that a dog or cat couldn't do. Even more she couldn't even do nearly as much damage, only a bite. Anyway... I find it funny! But my son, the bp's "daddy", and I love her!

    Congrats on the carmel!
