I have a Sorong GTP. Just like any snake, you're going to find different personalities. I've had mine for about 8 months now and she has never bit. HOWEVER, GTP are funny in that they typically go into hunt mode when the sun sets. I've never attempted to take it out at night, but I'm positive I'll get a nice tag if I try. Otherwise, she's (I haven't sexed it yet, but I refer to her has a "she" for some reason) a lot of fun when I take her out during the day. They're not really a handling snake like a Ball Python or BCI, though. Usually the only time I handle her is when I need to clean her perch or if I notice her being too sedentary for a few days. They are known to get constipated if they aren't very active, so I try to encourage her to move around a bit.Originally Posted by karenjmd
She's a lot of fun to watch, though. A couple days before feeding day she will put on a show with her caudul luring (wiggling the black end of her tail around). And at night when she is in hunting mode, she will follow you in strike position as you pass by her cage.![]()
