Re: Big girl Ophelia pics!
Well, she hasn't actually tagged me yet. It's a halfhearted kind of 'hey, back off, lady!' warning strike thing.

Re: Big girl Ophelia pics!
My girl is the opposite. She is impossible to get out of her cage. But she is funny too because she loves being in her cage but you can tell when she has fouled it up. She is at the door ready to get out of there.

Well, Ophelia is impossible to get out of the cage too. She's just impossible all around. When I try to get her out, I can grab her midsection and pull, but one of the other end will wrap around the edge of the cage and hold on for dear life. Makes me glad that boaphile has the aligning pins on the cages.. or else the cage would go tumbling down!

Re: Big girl Ophelia pics!
haha..same thing here. Snakes have a way of going where they want. My hog is the worst though. Wrapping that tail around cords or anything else close by.

My hog island isn't bad. She's a good girl. My baby surinam Julinar gives Ophelia a run for her money though!

Re: Big girl Ophelia pics!
Carmen is definitely starting to be a pain at both ends of taking out and putting back in. Do you guys have any advice to helping to break this behavior in a youngster or is it just the way boas are?
I thinking of holding her in my hands while inside the viv, anything to get her used to being calm during removal from and return to the cage.
0.1 ball python (Cleo), 0.1 surinam bcc (Carmen)
1.0 sunglow motley corn (Jenson), 1.0 albino burmese (Lourdes)
1.0 cat (Nicky), some mooses and ratters, 1.0 hubby (Rick)

It's just a boa thing. They are notorious.
