two things i've experienced with western hognoses that differ slightly from the third sheet.
1. i think lizard litter is a better substrate for these guys... it's more like their natural ground cover and my guy loves to tunnel around in it.
2. 40% humidity is not needed... mine's quite a bit lower with no problems, even in shed.
the hoggy i keep isn't even mine, this is the second one i've cared for that didnt belong to me, but i'd say all in all they are the easiest to care for that i've ever seen.
i've also read, and heard from the breeder my snake came from, that these snakes do best if you don't let temps go below 76.
