    Giant Squid

Dont know if anyone has seen this but it seems we finnally have gotten pics of a live giant squid for the first time ever.

you can read more about it here http://news.nationalgeographic.com/n...id/photo2.html
crazy though that we are just now seeing these on camera for the first time alive. we have found dead ones before. But think of all the things in the ocean we have no clue about. Its said that we know more about our solar system than we know about our own planet. crayz...

I believe this was posted here a few months ago. I'm taking the pics out of your post because they are copyrighted and can't be posted here.. the link to the article is fine though.

I believe this is real for sure. I think I heard somewhere that we have only been down in the ocean to a fraction if its depth. It goes down like 30some miles (I wish I had paid more attention). Who the heck knows what is living down there

hmm oh didnt know that they were copyrighted, found them on a number of differnt websites all in relation to the story and had seen a number of pics post on the site in relation to news storys with pythons. I thought as long as you linked the orginal source it wasnt violate either. Anyhow either way the story is good and the pics if you go look at them are ok. I think i would have cut the line saying "no f'in way man"

Or a living meglodon shark. They have found the teeth of a meglodon with flesh still on them but they dont know if it was trapped in ice and found thawed or a moster shark is accually out there large enough to swallow some whales whole.

All photos are copyrighted. Plus that you direct linked to their website.. thus using up their bandwidth.. which most people don't appreciate.

I have a megalodon tooth. A living megalodon would be a sight to see.. just not coming at me.

So we cant post photos on this site? sorry I didnt know that. So you took the pics off because they are copyrighted and copyrighted info isnt allowed here and all photos are copyrighted, making sure I got thate right, so just link websites and Pics are not allowed on the site. As far as the bandwidth, I wouldnt have done that if it wasnt a website like national geographic with more than enough bandwidth to handle it with monster servers to host all the info they offer. But all the same im sorry, as i didnt know posting photos were not allowed ill remember that for the future.

And yeah a living meglodon...*shudder* I think people would stop swimming in the ocean all together lol.

Yesterday I finished reading Steve Alten's "Meg," (for the second time.) It's a good, quick read about Megalodons surviving in the Marianas Trench. Plus, they're making a movie of it! Woo!! There's actually a trilogy ("The Trench" and "Primal Waters") I read the second one a few years ago but I don't really rememebr it, I've been trying to find it, lol. I finished it in four days!

You can post your own photos on the site all you wish. But using other people's photos without their permission is not appropriate. While you may see others doing so, it is not right and we don't condone it here.

I think it'd be totally awesome to discover a living meglodon!
