    free to good home :(

Sadly, I am offering my ball python, Sir Hiss for adoption. I find myself in the middle of buying a new home, working too many hours, and coaching too many teams. He is very well taken care of, I just have found myself loosing the passion for keeping him. Sir Hiss is eleven months old, approximately 2' in length (I don't know his weight). He has eaten for me every single Friday since I have owned him and has developed a pretty impressive feeding responce (F/T mice). He is a very healthy, beautiful snake. He has never bitten or been agressive.

If someone is interested, I will give the viv he's in (90 something quart rubbermaid), all my UTH's, waterbowls, and hides for free. I'll take the monetary losses to ensure a good home for him. I live in Wichita KS, and would need him to be picked up here. It sucks that I'm doing this, but I have no doubt that he'll be better off in the long run with someone else. Anyone who has questions/comments, please PM me.

I'm so sorry you have to give him up...

I'd take him if I lived a little closer. Here's hoping you find him a good home!

Its good that you are looking to find him a good home. Unfortunately I am nowhere near KS or I would take him in. Best of luck!

have you tried to check with your local reptile vet to see if they may know of some one who would take him in ?

or maybe a herp club in the area?

i too live to far away or i would be happy to take care of him for you till things eased up for you.

( babysitting snakes is how i got hooked)

Re: free to good home :(

I have found a friend of mine here in town that is willing to take him. He will recieve the best of care, and hopefully, my plate won't be as full sometime down the road and I can get him back. This is a win win for me! I know that to some on this site, it may seem irresponsible ownership to become too busy to care for a pet snake, but I just didn't know how busy my new career was going to make me. Good news is....teachers get the summertime off! Thank you all for your concern.
