    Phoenix Show wrap-up

    Heya Gang!

Just got back from Phoenix. Petra and I saw Sheree (MedussaOwl) there and met her friend and fiance...but we didn't find any other BP.net'ers. If anyone else was there today, I'm really sorry we missed you!

It was a really small show...a bunch of tables crammed into a small hotel meeting room. But the vendors that were there were really interesting. A few tables had a couple of bp's as if they were an after thought...but one vendor had a bunch of nice looking normals.

A couple of vendors had a lot of full grown animals, rather than the little colorful "worms" you usually see when browsing corns, kings and milks. So it was very nice to see how those little babies look when they're all grown up.

I got a cool black t-shirt that has three bp's emblazoned across the front..a pied, an albino and a normal. It's pretty cool looking. And I found a DVD called "Ball Pythons in the Wild" which is a 2 hour documentory on these animals in the wild as well as stuff about how they get captured and brought into the pet trade. The guy selling them said it's pretty good...I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet.

Other than that, I didn't buy anything...although there were a couple of snakes I would have LOVED to go home with, had I been able to. One was a "Banana California King" that was this gorgeous pale mint green with dark brown banding....made me think of mint/chocolate ice cream! He was fully grown, too...so these were his adult colorations, not the juvie colors he could outgrow.

OH...and one guy brought his pet wallaby! She was hopping all over the place with a little harness and leash. Petra fell in love with her and got to "walk" her around the room several times. LOL She was really cute and sweet.

Ok....I guess that's about it. Sheree has some pretty cool news to share...but I'll leave that up to her. Suffice it to say I really enjoyed "living vicariously" through her today!

Sheree...it was AWESOME to meet you and Karen and Jess! So glad we were able to!

    Signing off!

LOL...still in my camera. I'm afraid I only took a couple. Sheree will have a few more as well. Hubby's busy on the computer that I use for the camera, so they'll have to wait 'til tomorrow or so.

Well fine Judy I'll just lay there, all night, staring at the ceiling, wondering..."what is the news Sheree has"...."what are the pics Judy took"...don't mind me...it's not like I need my sleep or anything....I'll manage...I suppose....bravely....bearing up under the lack of sleep and such like...

Seriously though, I'm really surprised Sheree hasn't been on yet to tell all about it! I left her place HOURS ago! But of course, she did have a fair amount of work ahead of her when I left........

    Re: Phoenix Show wrap-up

I was there right when it opened. I went straight form the fire station to the show. So if you were there and saw a guy walking around with navey blue pants that had reflecters on.... it was me. All I bought was a new 40 gallon but didnt get a snake to go with it yet maybe ill be able to get down there again today and get something. Cant wait to here the story either.
