He looks healthy weight-wise to me.

To give you an idea of healthy weight.. my 7' 4" dumerils boa is 21 lbs and very healthy. She is quite heavy bodied.. as most dumerils are. Burmese typically are relatively more slender than dums. I just don't see that snake being 40-50 lbs.
