Soaking/pooping correlation?
I'm wondering what everyone's experience has been with their bp's pooping while soaking?
I gave Tigerlilly a nice long soak tonight because she's very blue. This is probably the 5 or 6th time I've given her a soak, but she's never pooped while soaking.
Slinky, my BCI, is the exact opposite, I get her close to any body of water larger than a coffee cup and she poops.
Just wondering how everyone else's bp fair?

Re: Soaking/pooping correlation?
If its a warm soak, I notice with many different herps, warm water tends to kinda 'loosen things up' a bit. Bearded dragons especially just cause they eat so much. But then again not every soak stimulates a bowel movement either. Just an observation.

Mine does it. In fact that is the only place she does it. She doesn't do it every time I soak her but in the six months I have had her she has only gone in her cage maybe 3 or 4 times and that was when I first got her. Every other time has been in the bathtub.

I've only had to soak a handful of times, and I've never had one go while soaking.

Re: Soaking/pooping correlation?
Allister soaks in the morning sometimes but its never for a long period of time. When he is shedding however, he soaks a lot, usually for 5 or 6 days at a time.
He has never defecated in his water bowl, or his jaccuzzi hide (where he likes to soak).
Allister defecates and expels urates in the hidebox on the warm side of his terrarium. I just assumed that he likes to pick a spot where he feels most comfortable and pretty much sticks to that. He's funny that way, when he finds something he likes he sticks with it.

Re: Soaking/pooping correlation?
I've only soaked my BP once and he never pooped, but I find if I'm holding him for a while around my arm, sometimes he poops on me!
He's done it like twice now and once he gets bigger he better not be pooping on me then! YUCK!
I think he poops because the heat of my body...I dont know! WEIRD!
