Smile Pics of Lazarus (D/U warning)

Hi everyone! As many of you already know I recently got Lazarus away from some very uncaring people. He's looking much better after a soak and some rest so I thought I'd take some quick photos while I had him out to clean his tub. Thanks again everyone for all the wonderful advice....

This one has a ruler in it for size reference....it's 18 in.

This one shows some of the scars (bite marks I think) near his tail. I've counted seven of them....

This is what's left of his tail.....

And this is a close-up of Lazarus....

Awww poor fella! I bet that soak and the clean, warm housing is just bliss to that poor snake. How far past his cloaca does that blunting of his tail happen?

Hi Joanna! It's about 2 1/2 inches past. He's been staying in his warm hide most of the time but when I opened the tub he stuck his head out to say hi....not skittish at all.

I'll bet ya after a few more sheds, and a few more juicy meals, he won't even look like the same snake, except for the poor little tail. He's one lucky fella!!

Well at least the damage is well past his vent. Rotten past owners to let this snake get in that awful condition....sometimes humans are just the stupidest creatures on earth aren't they! So glad you've got him and will give him a much improved life. We have a number of snakes with scars from before we got them. So far *knock wood* they don't seem at all affected by their scarring and shed just fine.

I bet with some time and good eats Laz is going to be just a stunning snake (oh heck I think they are all stunning but you get my point LOL).
