Decision
I am selling my black piranha next week and I have to decide what to spend the money one. The 2 options I've come down to are getting 2 female crested geckos or put the money towards a 12'x12' pond. What would you do.

Re: Decision
I would do what appeals to me more. What do you want to spend your time and effort on more? What would please you more?

Re: Decision
a pond would be really cool but then you know i'm a crestie freak. a pond would probably be a lot more work but if you really want one it could be a lot of fun and very rewarding. if you want to get into breeding cresteds then getting females is definitely a great step toward that goal... it's really just up to you and what you want to do right now. you can always choose one now and save for the other for later.

Re: Decision
The pond would be tons more work. Since I would have to do much of it by myself. Its a tough decision, since sitting by my pond now is very relaxing in the summer. Another part is that with the geckos theres a basic one time cost, with the pond the costs keep piling up.

Re: Decision
AND the pond is very very VERY destressing... so peaceful and relaxing. i couldn't live without my pond... can't wait for spring and summer so i can sit by it for 4 hours a day again....

I think I'll just choose when I get back from Mexico.

Re: Decision
I think the cresteds would be cheaper in the long run, ponds can be expensive.
