    Tracking Sheet

I am making a tracking sheet for my herps. I am using Excel to track feeds and sheds. Is there anything else I can add to make this sheet better. I am think of adding monthly weigh-ins once I get a scale. I didn't add temps because I check them several times daily. Any other things I should be checking on a regular basis not listed here? I know I fed a snake 3 days ago, but I can't remember which one. So I decided it is time for me to keep notes now that I have quite a few.

Take a peek at these (by Python-77) - you might want to build off these, incorporate, modify, integrate etc.

Let us know what you come up with - if you like we'd be happy to include your final product in the downloads section.

    Re: Tracking Sheet

Hi Lars! I'm not sure if you're interested in something like this or not but Degei makes a tracking software specifically for reptiles. They have a free download available that has been working very well for me. If nothing else you can take a look at the site and maybe get some more ideas for your tracking sheets. I hope this helps....

    Re: Tracking Sheet

Yep I use Degei too Lars and it's fantastic and free to try. If you prefer a hard copy you can print out your data direct from Degei plus upload ID pics of each snake, print out cage cards, etc. It's very quick to download and super easy to run (or I'd be lost LOL)

I couldn't keep track of the snakes without it LOL. I actually use Degei to track my rats breeding and information on litters though it's not designed for rodents but it's better than nothing (the only rat breeding programs available are for fancy pedigree rats not breeder/feeders).

    Re: Tracking Sheet

There are all kinds of programs out there... The best, in my opinion is FreeHerp... soon to be Pro Herp. There's also Metzcal (used to be Herp Master).. .Degei... Herp Care (from thegeckocam) But Metzcal and Pro Herp are the only two that are SPECIFICALLY for snakes and I find them both very easy to use and maintain records.
