Spurs?
Are spurs in BP's different than other snakes?
I have sexed six BP's this morning and four had rather large spurs that you would bet the farm they were males!!

Re: Spurs?
I have never heard of spurs being a reliable way to determine the sex of any snake species.
Way back in the day, it was a popular method for determining sex that led to tons of mis-sexed animals.
We now know that popping and/or probing are the only reliable methods for determining the sex of a snake.

Re: Spurs?
I know popping/probing are the only 100% reliable way to determine gender, it's just all of these are females and almost all of these girls have huge spurs.
I've probed 6 and all 6 have probed as females, I've got 4 more to go. Is there any external/visual difference between male and female BP's?

My understanding is no. Probing or popping, as Adam said is the only reliable way to tell.
