Soaking will help keep the population of adults down, you may also want to add a small amount of handsoap to the soak, that will break the surface tension around the adult mites and kill them faster. I'm talking like a small dot sized amount is all you need. Do that every couple of days until your Provent-a-mite comes. That stuff is the flippin shnizz.
