Well with the thermostat set at 110 degrees I can only get the inside floor of the cage up to 80 degrees (this has been running overnight). I keep my room temperature at 63 - 67 degrees during the winter. Should I increase the thermostat setting to say something like 120 degrees?
Run it a little longer (24 hours or longer), with the AP cages, the plastic (pvc) is a little thick, and takes a while for everything to get up to temp. Make your adjustments in small amounts until you get the desired result.

Taped directly to the probe, you'll get the most accurate temp readings on the tape. Completely wrap and burry the probe in foil tape, then tape the foil to the flexwatt. I keep my herp room at 75 degrees, and my Johnson that's in there is set to 108.... but my flexwatt is also touching the bottom of a sterilite tub... not the expanded pvc that you have.... so you'll need much higher temps.. it would seem.

I just taped it on using that metal heat tape around all sides. I think I have the side with the writing (and darker black colors) facing DOWN away from the bottom of the cage. Does this matter, will the flexwatt put out even heat on both sides?
Flexwatt will put out heat on both sides.

Yuppers... totally normal. It's an on/off thermostat... so, the click is a switch inside the unit that allows power to flow to the output... as soon as the desired temp is reached, it'll click again when it turns the output switch off. It should be more often than 2 minutes... direct current to the flexwatt will heat it from room temp to over 120 in like 30 seconds... so, from 100 to 110 should only take about 5 to 10 seconds... you should hear a click about once every 10 or 20 seconds.

Hope this helps.
