Re: Measuring my snake, error in software
I use that program myself, but not sure why it wont work on your computer, maybe contact who wrote the program for help.
Maybe try re-installing it again, after a full delete. Folder in "c" drive too needs to be deleted.

Re: Measuring my snake, error in software
The pictures need to be a straight up-and-down shot, looking at the snake like an aerial shot. Pictures such as those you posted won't give you an accurate measurement at all.
Hope that helps a bit to get you a good measurement of your snakes

Re: Measuring my snake, error in software
For the first picture...33.4"
For the second picture...41.3"
....but IMO...Those are not really good pictures for the program. Take the pictures DIRECTLY over head and so that the scale on the ruler can be seen.

Re: Measuring my snake, error in software
I've used that program before, and it is really hard to get a truly overhead shot...especially if you have a wiggly-wanna-see-the-world kinda snake!

Re: Measuring my snake, error in software
I'm getting this following:
#1 at 33.95 inches
#2 at 38.89 inches
Assuming that's a standard 12 inch ruler of course.
I have a lot of problems with wierd measurements with that program sometimes so usually take 3 pics and average it then check it against the old run a string along their spine and then measure the string method (yes I know...I'm "Monk-ish" )
