Ceramic Heat emitters
Hi everyone, again.
I seperated my snakes, putting one in a 30H gallon aquarium, and placed it on its side to give more floor space. I got a UTH, but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick heat wise. My humidity is great though, and I want to keep it that way. I was looking on Ebay (im a ebay freak) for these ceramic heat emitters that you guys have been talking about.....
I don't want to go out and get another UTH just for it still to be chilly in the tank. These things seem like a promise....what wattage would be good>

Re: Ceramic Heat emitters
What are you using as substrate? Sometimes if you have it too thick, it doesn't allow good heat transfer. Those things usually get temps over 100 degrees. You might want to fidget with that too. Just a thought.

Re: Ceramic Heat emitters
Another tip for aspen is to 'fluff it'. If it gets too packed, it'll reduce your flow of heat too!
