i never see dexter outside of his hides... although every day i see him in a different hide so i know he's moving around... what time do you see your bp slithering about?

Re: what time does your bp prowl around their viv?

I think the appropriate word for what Amani does at night, or really anytime for her, is "loafing". She's a big, lazy, bum who is panhandling for rats(well, a boyfriend right now, silly thing). LoL, I put a blanket over the tub at night(so no drafts get in from my fans), so I don't see her anyway.

When I do look through the side though, she is usually stretched all the way across her tub, sitting on both of her hides with her belly on top of the humid hide. She likes to lounge I guess. Sometimes half of her is in a hide and half on top of the humid hide. She's happy regardless of where she's at, I guess

Sometimes I don't see much of Emily - often she stays in her hides (unsociable thing!) - other times she tends to poke her head and neck out about 5 - 6 in the evening and will stay like that for a while - she doesn't seem to slither around much while I'm watching. She looked cute last night - she had her head and neck out and about an inch of tail sticking out beside it - wish I'd taken a picture

Her viv is actually in my eldest daughter's bedroom and she says she sometimes hears her rustling around in the night.

Usually I see a lot of movement from about 7pm to 11pm. Most are usually fairly active moving about the enclosure, but I have one or two that just poke their heads out and are much more reserved. *shrug*

my snakes usually come out after a period of darknes for about an hour. ive seen them out early as 6:30pm, but sometimes i never see them come out. usually zulu just comes out to sit and curl up on his branch like a green tree python. lastnight he looked exactly like a GTP.... i shoulda got a pic! vanessa usually crawls back and forth to and from her hides and in the morning i find her underneath her newspaper. normally the most active period for my snakes is 8-10pm.

Re: what time does your bp prowl around their viv?

My BP only comes out after the lights are out in her viv and the room. I would say she comes out from around 11pm to about 3 in the morning. After that she is just relaxing in her hides....

Duchess is *really* active once I put the lights out (whenever that is). Her tank is at the foot of my bed so I can watch her, albeit with a dim light. More recently she's started coming out of her hides, light or not, at about 6pm, and hanging out and just sorta watching me on the computer. I've gotten quite a few pics. She likes to just rest her chin on something, like her branch or the edge of her water dish, or failing that, her body. So she isn't *active*, but she's out.

phantom tends to show here face around 6 or 7 pm. then around 9 or 10 she ventures out and around her cage. I find that her schedule chages from time to time. she may go for a period where she come out almost like clockwork and then there are weeks that she never come out.
