Re: if i had the guts.....

I am in love with gaboon vipers. I just think their coloration is awesome. I would never want to own one per se, but if I could, and had the facilities/abilities, that'd be it. I am also fascinated by Eastern doamondbacks, since they are so rare in this state, and actually native to my home land!

I love the way gabby's look, but even if I were to work with hots, I don't think I'd feel comfortable working with a hot snake as large as a gabby.

Give me a nice bright yellow eyelash viper though...

I woudln't mind some of the rattlesnakes as well.

I admit though, if I were going to own hots, I'd probably stick to something fairly native and try my best to keep a good supply of antivenom on hand.

Coral snakes are really nice too, although I understand the venom is pretty potent stuff.

Correct me if Im wrong, but I once saw in the Discovery Channel that the black mamba is one/or the only snake that wont just attack you for self defence, I saw that it actually chases you.
My fav has to be the King Cobra, thats got to be the meanest badass looking snake ive seen!!

It will. It will chase you down and is so fast............ I knew kings could get big, but until going to the breeder's and seeing his monacled and his 18+ foot king, I didn't know they'd get THAT HUGE!!!

I grew up with diamondbacks in E. Oregon, and my prof had that and a sidewinder. It was small, but it was sooooo cool when it moved and squiggled...lol
