Just Wondering.....
Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a Nature/Wildlife/Field Herping or whatever you'd name it forum for a place to specifically post stories or pictures about people's experience with wildlife (herps but maybe more) either photo's, information or wild capture (if that's legal in your area). Daniel recently shared some amazing photo's with me of snakes native to his area and I was just thinking it would be so cool to have a place for everyone to share that sort of thing as we are so geographically wide spread.
As much as I admire a lot of captive born snakes, it's very nice to appreciate our native wildlife too.

Re: Just Wondering.....
I wish I could have gotten a picture of the cutie I saw yesterday and the day before. I found a very adorable baby ratsnake(I think). It was about 6-7" long and he musked me! Little stinkpot.
I do like the field-herping on my front porch . Quite fun. House Geckos, garden spiders, orb weavers, little snakeys everywhere...

That would be cool! My sons and I love field herping in the spring and summer. The last two years I've had to oppurtunity to capture two Northern Copperheads and release them in safer places where they were less likely to run into unfriendly humans.

Re: Just Wondering.....
See that would be so fun and educational to see pics or hear stories of what is native in certain areas. We live on the edge of the forest and sadly have yet to see much of anything other than the feral cats, a skunk or two, a few raccoons (get outta my garbage can!), a big mean ole possum and the resident herd of whitetails who I'm striving to both get a picture of and make a meal out of LOL.
Please Mr. Admin can we have a wildlife type forum
