    Space Heater Use

My mom got me a space heater for my room tonight. Im wondering what the best way to use it is. Should I hook it up to my thermastat or a timer running on 6 hour cycles.

    Re: Space Heater Use

i use one in my room as well, i just turn it on when i need it, off when i dont. youll get to know when you will really need or or not. just make sure nothing flammable is around it, dont want any accidents.

Just a low setting is probably all you need.

    Re: Space Heater Use

Mine has a thermostat built in. I set it to 85 on all the time.. the whole room averages around 82 though.

Are space heaters safe to leave on 24/7? What if I'm away for a couple of days? I don't wanna burn my house down!

    Re: Space Heater Use

Modern space heaters have many safety features built in. They're quite safe in my opinion.

    Re: Space Heater Use

I use one in my room and it has a therostat built in. The thermostat is a littlt over halfway up and the power is on medium. It seems to get the job done. I wouldn't worry too much about it burning things down, I've left it on for ever, and it seems to be fine.
