Re: New RedTailBoa !
Ooh.. you got another snake! Very cool! She's got a great pattern there.
You want only R names? Try a search on one of the baby names websites.. you can search by starting letter and gender.

Re: New RedTailBoa !
Looks like a Suri or a Guyuna, is it? The pattern fades away, but the tail is so red! It might be a mix at least.

Re: New RedTailBoa !
Baby colombians usually have a stunning red tail.
You can search for names meaning 'red' or something like that. Just find a good name site and start looking around.. something's bound to catch your eye.

Re: New RedTailBoa ! PICS
I hear that thier colors fade when they get older, when people say that do they mean just the tail or the whole body ??
When they say "fade" do they mean that the light colors will fade to dark or the lighter colors just get lighter ?? (talking about the body here)

Re: New RedTailBoa ! PICS
They don't fade usually.. they brown out. Everything gets darker. This varies a lot from snake to snake though. It's comparable to how the colors change on ball pythons from hatchling to full grown.

Re: New RedTailBoa !
Oh Brandon she's a beauty! Here's a link for pet names, you can use the search engine to find names by meaning or ethnic origin or whatever....hope it helps

I'm certainly no expert on columbians but if you look at Rauri's pics (and he's an adult male) his saddles are more in contrast to his background color than your girl. He does have a typical light and dark phase. His tail has retained a fair bit of color to my eye, but rather than red it's more of a mahogany I guess would decribed it best with a darker brown on the outside of each tail mark.

I'd bet a hundred she is a Bcc/Bci mix. You see that pattern }{ near the front. It does that over her front half and then fades into the tradional )( near the tail. Her face seems longer too. I place my bet...
