It's really not the best thing for them. Changing environments and temperatures greatly increases the animals natural level of stress and chance of becoming ill. This time of year in the mid-atlantic and northern states is especially bad for taking snakes outside of their normal environments.

You're certainly taking a risk by traveling with your ball python.
