Oops...Actually the ZooMed units have a warning on the box not to remove them once attached..that is probably for warranty purposes...but I'm not doubting you...you definitly know more about them than me. I'll admit that I have done this and had no problems with them (one I have had for over two years and I have moved it around at least twice), but if Matt says not to your best bet would be to not do it.
