    Going with a RTB

Hello again well i looked at some of the pictures that you all suggested for me to check out and im going with the redtailboas.com what should i look for before i choose witch one to buy, also what would be best to keep the snake in until i can get a nice cage would a 20L work, it's i hate screen because of temp and hum problems from them and also nose rubbing. Do the speckles stay with them after they grow or should i get a less speckled im going to get a high orange. Thanks Aaron

The speckles stay with them as they grow. Personally, I like the personallity spots give the boa, but in the breeding world, cleaner is better.

If you're going to go with one of Clay's boas, ask him his recommendations for what to keep it in. A baby boa can stay in a fairly small tub, but not for long. They grow quick! Clay will be able to give you good info. on all that as well as what the boa's eating and the rest of the good stuff you need to know. Also, be sure to check out the care sheets here and on his site.

    This guy is my fave!

Sorry. Anyway, check this thread out: this is what Clay's boas look like when they get bigger. Their oranges just keep getting brighter.

    Re: Going with a RTB

by reading the care sheet on Clay's sight, he doesn't believe that housing a baby boa in a full sized enclosure is detrimental to the snake. I am setting up for a RTB now, and I'm putting him in a large enclosure right off the back.
1.0 BP; Sir Hiss (I have a cartoon problem)
0.1 Blizzard Corn; Princess Fiona (Gaelic=white, fair)
4.0 Yellow Labs; Drake, Goose, Mojo, Buddy
    1.1 Scarlet Macaws; Ace, Duece
3.0 American Bison; Death, Danny, Bambi
10.10 Race Horses (number changes a lot)
