i got her from a pet store who bred them..they had 2 females that they probed in front of me..and 1 unknown..i decided to just get this 1st female i saw she had gorgous..they said it was salmon color..and it was a good pic..

im not too up to date on rtb's but maybe u can let me know what salmon is...

and if they were serious.. lol...

ok then she has salmon coloring..because i noticed a lot of pink color on her sides..i'll post better pics tomorrow, you can kind of notice it in that pic....but let me get better pics up tomorrow when i get batteries for my cam.

oh btw here is a new pic of her in her setup.




EDIT: NO she's not a petco rtb. lol..but i forgot to grab hides..how foolish of me to forget those..so she was w/o hides for about 10 minutes while i ran to the closest place i knew who sold the type i wanted...so i bought that log one, then i thought for the cold side, that ceramic plastic type log would be nice a cool...the temperatures for warm are 87ish and cold are 77ish(maybe warmer but not lower) anyways it was cool i snapped that first pic when i got back..i put her in the cage and she slithered around and climbed right up on that wood, it was awesome...she was hard to get in her cage..she is all over the place..she hasn't hissed at me once or tried to strike..even when i tried to put stuff in her cage..and my hand being right by her..she was just fine.

FYI. The color of the flesh of the salmon is actually white like other fish, but for some reason, salmon flesh changes to pinkish-red if they eat certain things and stays white if they don't. I have actually served white-fleshed salmon at the restaurant I work at and it was as white as Chilean sea bass and tasted no different from the redist of red salmon. I paired it with a fruity and delicate Pinot Noir from the Santa Maria Valley by the way.

PS BTW, that is one gorgeous snake. Every picture I see of a RTB just makes me want to get one. But they just get too big. Are there any dwarf RTB species out there like they have for retics? 4-5 feet would be perfect.

rtb males will grow noticibly smaller than females. avg 6 ft. a 4ft cage will be good for the life of the snake. anything bigger than 6ft, a 6ft cage is better.

I've seen 20+lb male BCI.

I didn't know that about salmon.. I love salmon too. My specialty is salmon teriyaki.. I also love salmon sushi. (I'm a food geek too)

Luv all kinds of salmon dishes. And I live like about a stone's throw from like 20 sushi restaurants. I think my favorite thing to do with salmon though is to place a little lemon and garlic composed butter on top of the salmon and then wrap it in puff pastry and bake it in the oven and then finish it with a beurre blanc (white wine butter sauce). Hard to do in a restaurant because of cooking times, but for a really nice sunday dinner, you can not beat it. Especially if Copper River king salmon is in season. (OMG IT'S GOOD!!!) A nice buttery and oaky chardonnay would set that meal off.

And yes 6 feet and 20 pounds for a snake is too big for me. I have a T3 cage for my BP and and it is only 3 feet long and I think that is plenty big.
