To add to this, when a female ovulates, that's it. Whatever is in there is coming out, whether it's good eggs, bad eggs or slugs. If there is viable sperm present when follicles are released from the ovaries, and those follicles have become mature ova, then theoretically you should get good eggs. If there is no viable sperm present to fertilize the ova, then you'll likely get eggs that look good, but have no veining & eventually go bad - i.e. duds. If the ova are immature & can't be fertilized, you'll get small, yellow egg-shaped slugs that have a greasy or waxy appearance, or even small, shelled "eggs" that are discolored & misshapen.Originally Posted by JASBALLS
A female snake does not resorb once she has ovulated. And yes, the term is resorb...not reabsorb. (just one of my pet peeves...I know it didn't even come up here, but I'm going on a tangent anyway!)
