    Climbing and falling

Since I moved my girl to her sterilite tub shes been trying to find an escape route. She found one but I took care of it. Shes been climbing up and locking up on a little lip inside the tub. Everytime she does this she falls, Should I be worried.

Nope, sometimes they are just more determined than intelligent.

Sometimes It looks like she caught between the lid and the lid, she waves her head around. Then she falls. Should I be worried about that. Im really paranoid now that I caght her escaping, I put over 40lbs of weights on the lid and corners. I can't lift the lid without trying.

haha! good point. I wouldn't worry about it either I hear the "thud" of the smaller snakes who work there way up into the lip/ridge of the handle on my tubs every night. I hate seeing them fall but don't worry to much about it since its only a few inches drop. I don't think you should be to concerned unless the drop is significant. If they keep doing it over and over...they must be ok...and undoubtably bored...what else do they have to do all night

They should still be ok I would think, I would only be worried if we where talking about a several foot drop.

    Re: Climbing and falling

Seems like the youngsters are more determined than the adults... or just have more energy. Heath, that little girl I sent you used to love to climb. I had her in a ten gallon and she'd find ways to crawl all way up and sit on the black lip. 'Course she always fell... never seemed to bother her in the least. She'd just keep trying.

I wouldn't worry about the falling, especially in a tub. That little girl fell the entire height of a ten gallon more than once and it never phased her.

    Re: Climbing and falling

She seemed a little weird this morning, usually shes sitting in her cool hide but she was sitting on the warm side in the open. Could she be feeling safer in the tub than in her glass cage. I hope nothings wrong, If she eats tonight then I'll be relieved.

Lynn, that little girl IS one of the very culprits I spoke of above...I should start hearing the light thumps/thuds very shortly LOL

greenmonkey, just keep an eye on your snake as you would any other day.
