NARBC pictures thread
As if there where not enough NARBC topics already...
I thought we could share pics of the show and what not. My wife and I had a great time, the first time I actually got tired at a show...there was so much stuff to see and even on the second day of going around and around I was still picking out things I hadn't seen the first hundred times we walked through. My wife is a couple of the pics, one next to Jim Nesci's giant tortois that he had there. It was a hoot watching and listening to him, he really got the kids involved and you could tell he really loved to work with his animals. We wanted to buy so much but had to restrict ourselves as I may be "going away" in the near future. We did come home with a couple animals though. I brought home a children's python that I got a the guy to lower the price on. (I can't figure out why the few tables that had these where trying to sell them for $75/ea when I saw them two weeks ago for 75-100pr!) Anyway I got this one for $40...unsexed. I also picked up a sulcata tort for a buddy of mine for $45...which we where lucky to find, at other tables they where going for upwards of $80!
Anyway on to the pics...be warned that I know the camera sucks and that in some of them i must have been quivering with excitement as they are bit blury:

Re: NARBC pictures thread
I got a picture of that lovely green viper as well. Did you know that the big gaboon they have there was dumped in a dumpster and then somehow got covered in latex paint? It shed and as you saw, it's beautiful again. I guess the guy that bought it didn't expect it to be as big as it was. Idiot.
Didn't get a pic of the albino conda I guess. Oh well.

Shelby, one of the guys there was telling my wife and I about that gaboon also...he also told us that one of the guys who found it was about to drape it around his neck/shoulders for a pic when a co-worker realized what it was! That green viper was beautifull!! I wish I could have captured what we where able to see in person.
basuca: this show was in Tinley Park, Illinois

Re: NARBC pictures thread
The reason I knew the gaboon story, is I went to their place in Lake Forest IL a few weeks ago. It's quite close to me, and in the second week of November they are opening a HUGE venomous display.. the largest anywhere in the midwest.
