    Re: 2 snakes 1 room

The only problem I'm aware of is quarantining the new animal for 2 months (in a separate room) to ensure there is no passage of diseases or mites. I've read a few posts of one snake getting mites and soon the entire collection (all housed in one room) had them as well. Pretty sure some mites could jump ship from a beardie and infect your snake too. Maybe those with greater experience could chime in here?

Absolutely quarantine. I'm anal and I Q for 3 months.. separate room if possible.

Bearded dragon.. gecko.. monitor.. snake, whatever! Keep them in the same room if it pleases you.

the jacobson's organ is located on the roof of the mouth and is used to 'smell' the air. Beardeds also have a 'third eye' located on the top of their head. they use this to sense light which triggers certain hormones in the brain....not all the benefits of the 'third eye' are know....but alot of animals have one

ha ha....I have been reading up on BDs....my wife and I plan on getting one sometime soon
