Being a typical 15 year old I was giddy and scared and on top of the world. It opened up the possibility of new responsibilities and new independence. I loved it! Granted I had my first accident a year later when my purse slid under the brake as I headed for a red light! Small fender bender (in my sister's car....SORRY CHRISTIE) but no one was hurt.
End result, I didn't carry a purse for years and I learned the importance of stopping distance!!
I learned to LOVE driving in college when I got into sports cars. I had a 300zx twin turbo souped up with an after market chip, new exhaust system (with some illegal bored out precats), a spiffy intake and some nice after market turbos....didn't do anything to the outside and I had about 425 hp...it was sweet! I remember driving up at a light and some sad frat boy in a mustang wanted to take a go at me...I smiled reeaaaal nice, let him have a nice little lead and then waste him. I let him catch up at the next light and smiled again so I didn't break his fragile college boy ego...ah, the good ole days
Now I drive a mini van with my adorable small children....while I wouldn't trade them for anything, I'd love to win the lotto and end up with a nice turbo Supra....heck, while I'm dreaming I'll just go for the Carrera!![]()
